It is often referred to as the GOP which stands for the Grand Old Party. The Republican party’s current philosophies run in line with American conservatism.
The current Republican platform is rooted in the belief that to make America stronger we must hold on to our freedom and the opportunity to pursue the American Dream.
Many republicans believe that have seen the American dream at risk, with basic rights being questioned or overseen by governmental forces. They would seek to help fulfill the American dream to all individuals by creating more jobs, giving tax relief to help grow the economy, help Americans have a better standard of living, rebuilding homeownership and ending the housing crisis. They also seek to help Americans on the federal and global level as they would reign in out of control spending, balance the budget, and get a handle on our inflation and the federal reserve. Therefore allowing America to have a competitive edge in the global economy.
They would seek to uphold the constitution which is the backbone of our country.
The Republican party appreciates the foresight of our founding fathers to protect freedom of speech, religious freedom, and the right to bear arms. They will work to protect the sanctity of human life and the defense of marriage.
They are seeking to reform the government to serve the people and not the other way around by saving medicare for future generations and strengthening Medicaid in the states.
They recognize that past legislation has leaned heavily on the idea that ‘it was too big to fail’, so now they are working to make new reforms that will never let this weight fall on the taxpayers again. As we move into the twenty-first century they want to ensure that our technology is being used appropriately and not for invading the rights of citizens. They will also be working to reinforce the laws of legal immigration, while embracing our heritage, but also ensuring that all who work in the states are here legally.
The republican party is actively seeking out voters to hear what they are thinking and how they want to be represented in our government today.
They desire to live up to the statement “we the people… “.
We are a group of conservatively minded people who desire to change the way black people have been represented in the media by our pursual of truth and our refusal to live within stereotypes that have been thrust upon us.
